About the book

Mike Carter and his girlfriend Helen, along with their friends Alex and Kay, travel to a remote loch side cottage for a post-graduation holiday. But their celebrations are short-lived when they hit and kill a stag on the road. Alex s sister Meggie awaits them in the cottage, adding to the tension when her dog, Oscar, goes missing. Mike becomes haunted by a disturbing presence in the cottage, and is hunted by threatening figures in the highland fog. Reeling from a shock revelation, Mike begins to lose his grip on his sanity. As the dark secrets of the past conspire to destroy the bonds of friendship, Mike must uncover the terrifying truth dwelling within the walls of Hearthstone Cottage.

My fifth novel #HearthstoneCottage is out now!

Release day for my new folk horror novel Hearthstone Cottage passed by in a blur!

The dawn sky provided a suitably spooky herald of the day ahead.

Social media lit up in a Halloween-orange glow of publicity with f(r)iends, family, and other readers sharing their congratulations & photos of their copies of the book. My thanks to you all!

Hearthstone Cottage even crept up on the horror fantasy radar…

And I was interviewed by my publisher Flame Tree Press about the inspiration behind the novel, and what I’m working on next.

When I finally returned home to dusky Lee Cottage, I found a big box of books waiting for me.

My author copies had arrived! I particularly enjoyed getting my talons on the hardcover edition (my first hardcover title, to date, and hopefully not the last).

Cheers to all of you for making it such a fun launch day!

I will be posting details of an upcoming blog tour very soon.

Until then, i hope you will pick up a copy of Hearthstone Cottage. And when you do, I hope it gives you nightmares.

Beast witches, Frazer x
