Praise for ‘Panic Button’ – the novel:

“A chilling commentary on the modern phenomenon of social media…I highly recommend reading this book, after which you really should go and see the film as well” (Jim McLeod, Ginger Nuts of Horror)

“More than competes with anything the creators of the original Saw could dream up” (Hellnotes)

“Frazer Lee explores the real dangers of putting our lives online and, through his characters, shows the real-life consequences of cyber-bullying, privacy, identity theft and the dangers of hiding behind the internet” (Malysa Stratton Louk, Digital Journal)

This is an intelligent and propulsive book, pressing all the right buttons – panic or otherwise – as a standalone piece of fiction even if you’ve not seen the movie version” (Paul Mount, Starburst Magazine)

News: Panic Button Distribution Deals

ImageNewsflash just in from Cannes 2012 that sales agent Kaleidoscope has closed distribution deals on several of their titles including horror/thriller Panic Button. To paraphrase:

Panic Button went to Germany (MIG), Japan (Interfilm), Korea (Focus & Company) and CIS (Big Movie)… Spencer Pollard, CEO of Kaleidoscope commented: “…We have many more deals in play currently and should be able to announce further deals shortly.”

More details at ScreenDaily and Hollywood Reporter.

Congrats to all at Movie Mogul Films, the cast and crew on this excellent news.

Panic Button is out now on DVD/Blu-ray, along with my movie novelization (based on the screenplay which I also co-wrote, and which held the #1 amazon.co.uk horror/thriller spot for over 2 months).

Panic at the AFM

Here’s wishing the Panic Button production team lots of sales ops at the American Film Market where the movie screens today.

Check out the movie’s official site for this and other screening details, and a new poster created especially for the AFM:

Still on topic, the folks over at the Panic Button’s Facebook just posted this photo, which made me smile:

Yes folks, the proof copy of the Panic Button movie novelization has arrived at their offices! More about the book soon, meantime I urge you to check out viral site All2gethr.com for some social networking satire and a few treats and surprises. All2gethr.com could well become your alternative to that other well-known social networking site, which is allegedly under threat from hacking group ‘Anonymous’. Hmmm, wonder who ‘Anonymous’ might be? And are they on Google+….?

Meantime, Panic Button releases on DVD and Bluray in the UK via CineBritannia, November 7th. It will be available as VOD on Sky Movies Box Office from Nov 7th.
